Product Manager

Unbanked is a global fintech platform built on blockchain. Unbanked’s platform connects traditional enterprise, fintech, banking, systems with blockchain infrastructure giving real-world utility to digital assets. Our products enable instant remittance and the transfer of value on blockchain rails in a compliant and regulated environment.

Our core consumer facing product, BlockCard, is a crypto debit card available in the US. We have built a white-label platform for easily onboarding partners to run their own cryptocurrency debit card programs using our technology. Existing partners include the likes of Litecoin and Paxful.

 

We are looking for a Product Manager who will be responsible for the vision and profitability of the Unbanked product line. You will work closely with various teams to make business decisions and create product strategies that ensure Unbanked’s long-term sustainability. You will work with the Engineers, Sales, and Client Services teams to build and enhance Unbanked’s products from existing ideas and help develop new concepts based on industry research and the needs of customers and prospects. You should possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Work closely with new and existing customers to ensure a smooth onboarding process and that the onboarding process is well documented.
• Research industry trends, capabilities, competitive environment, etc., required for SWOT analysis.
• Ensure alignment of strategy to product roadmap.
• Drive business development of required partnerships, alliances, etc.
• Initiate conceptual documentation required for product development.
• Build consensus within various functional departments .
• Create detailed business cases and requirements as needed.
• Initiate and lead a cross-functional team in a matrix organization.
• Partner on technical design, implementation, operational support model, go-to-market planning, etc.  
• Serve as product/service expert across the organization during the product development process and customer onboarding activities.
• Execute market trials as needed.
• Clearly and concisely complete relevant documentation/templates for eventually hand-off for lifecycle management.
• Provide guidance to operational teams to ensure “carrier grade” process and support.
• Ensure final product/service aligns with key, strategic goals .
• Execute continuous improvement based on customer and internal stakeholder (i.e. sales, marketing, etc.) feedback.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with SAAS and software development process.
• Experience with professional services is desired.
• 5+ years of product management development or related experience is highly preferred.
• Blend of strategic thinking and hands-on implementation leadership; must be a customer focused, self-starter.
• Understanding and experience with crypto currency and fin-tech payments solutions and related eco-system.
• Experience writing both business and technical requirement documents.
• Experience in negotiating contracts.
• Strong analytic and fact-based decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and/or issues simultaneously and operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth, professional environment.
• Must possess both outstanding written and oral communication skills; ability to present to customers and at both business and technical forums.
• A strong interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
